Welcome to the Ashland Electrolysis and Skin Aesthetics website. My name is Molly and I am a licensed electrologist and an esthetician in the state of Oregon. I offer electrolysis and Dr. Hauschka facials and Dr. Hauschka products.

Ashland Electrolysis and Skin Aesthetics has been in business for over 10 years with many satisfied customers. Remember electrolysis has been in use for over 145 years (of course I am not that old) and is the only FDA approved method for permanent hair removal. So when you have hair in places you wish didn't, then electrolysis may be for you!

My name is Molly and I have been a licensed electrologist and aesthetician for over 10 years. I served on the State of Oregon's Board Of Body Art which includes the fields of Electrolysis, Tattooing and Body Piercing for over 10 years. I have also had the honor of proctoring electrolysis exams for the State of Oregon.

My personal philosophy is to work with the body and not against it. Taking this holistic approach led me to Dr. Hauschka products and services. I am a certified Dr. Hauschka esthetician for all levels of Dr. Hauschka facials. Additionally, I was trained in the Dr. Hauschka rhythmical body treatment in California, Germany and Paris, France.

For permanent hair removal, I perform electrolysis on men, women, teenagers (with their parents consent) and transgender individuals. Please be sure to come in for your free consultation to determine if electrolysis is right for you.

Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method for permanent hair removal. Other treatment methods, such as laser, can only promise hair reduction.

Late, No Show and Cancelation Policy

I consider you and your time very important as well as my time and other client's time. Therefore, please show up on time. If you miss an appointment you will be charged for the time scheduled, if you are late for your appointment you will be charged for the time scheduled. I treat all clients in the same way so please do not be mad or attempt to make me feel bad for charging you.

I require 24 hours notice to cancel your appointment. Please note: if your appointment is on Monday, you must cancel by Friday 12:00 pm.

My office is easy to find and is conveniently located a few blocks from downtown Ashland, Oregon with easy parking on the street or in the back.

COVID 19 Protocol

As a clinic, face masks are required by Oregon law and you must come alone. Please wear a face mask at all times unless otherwise instructed.

If you are vaccinated, please bring in your vaccine card so that I can mark your file and then I will work on your face.
If you are unvaccinated, I can work on your body, however, no face work will be allowed.

About

I use and sell Dr. Hauschka products because they are biodynamically grown (think organic plus) and, of course, are all natural. Dr. Hauschka products and services are based upon the beliefs of Rudolf Steiner. They carefully choose every plant and mineral ingredient based on its individual effects and the way it interacts with other ingredients, as well as whether it came from an ecologically and ethically sound source. This translates to excellent skin care products that work with your skin and not against it.

The Dr. Hauschka facials are also based upon the same principals as their skin care products. The key lies in balance and rhythm, and the Dr. Hauschka facials are designed to restore both. By using rhythmic, caring touch your mind will be calmer and by stimulating the lymph flow your immunity will be strengthened. All this will be happening while your skin is cleansed and treated with the best products available.

Depending upon all of the clients needs the treatments will include cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, clay mask, manual lymph drainage, a second mask for skin balancing.

Why should I choose electrolysis over other methods?

Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method for permanent hair removal. Other methods such as laser can only promise long lasting results. Laser only works on certain types of hair and for certain types of skin pigment. Waxing is only temporary.

Is electrolysis uncomfortable?

There is some discomfort associated with electrolysis. However, I will only work with your skin and pain tolerance. Additionally, you can purchase numbing cream that you can apply 1 hour before your treatment. In all cases, drinking lots of water will help in the removal of the hair and in reducing your sensitivity. Also at times of stress, lack of sleep and hormonal fluctuations will increase your sensitivity.

Is electrolysis permanent?

Yes! However, if your hormones are out of balance, have high blood pressure, etc. then your body will generate more hair.

Are there any side effects?

After a treatment the skin can be red and have edema for 20 min to 3 hours after the appointment.

How long will it take?

The number of treatments vary with each client. Your hormones, certain medications , stress and the amount of hair to be removed are all factors that affect how the length of your treatment.

Can a hair be removed from a mole?

With a doctor's note I am able to remove hair from the mole.

Do you remove hair from any part of the body?

I can remove hair from any part of the body, except from the inner ear and inside the nose (no mucous membrane).

Do electrologists follow appropriate infection control precautions?

Yes! I follow all of the State of Oregon's guidelines for sanitation and sterilization.

What can I do to make the treatments more effective?

Make regular appointments and drink lots of water. Being hydrated helps in the removal of the hair and makes it less sensitive.
